Taylor Swift Adjusts Set Times for Wembley Stadium Eras Tour; Un-ticketed Fans Advised to Stay Away

Taylor Swift highly anticipated Eras Tour shows at London’s Wembley Stadium will have slightly adjusted start times. Fans attending the five-night run, which begins on August 15, should note that early entry will start at 3:30 PM local time, with general admission beginning at 4:00 PM, and the show starting at 4:55 PM—15 minutes earlier than initially planned. These changes have led to speculation that Swift may take the stage earlier than her usual 7:25 PM start time.

The revised schedule will also apply to the shows on August 19 and 20. However, for the performances on August 16 and 17, early entry will begin at 3:45 PM, with general admission starting at 4:15 PM, and the show slated to kick off at 5:10 PM. At the time of reporting, Taylor Swift’s representatives have not commented on the reason for the schedule changes. Swift will be joined by Raye, Holly Humberstone, Paramore, and Suki Waterhouse on these dates.

This sold-out series at Wembley marks Swift’s final stop on the European leg of her Eras Tour, following a harrowing week in Vienna. Her planned three-night run at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium was canceled after authorities thwarted a terror plot targeting the concerts. The main suspect, a 19-year-old who allegedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, was arrested along with two other teenagers. The suspect admitted to planning an attack using homemade explosives and knives, aiming to harm fans outside the stadium.

Despite the scare

Swift’s dedicated fans, known as Swifties, showed resilience. Many gathered in the streets of Vienna to sing her songs and celebrate, even after the concerts were called off. London officials have assured fans that the Vienna incident will not affect the UK shows.

The European tour has seen large gatherings of un-ticketed Swifties participating in “Tay-gating” outside venues. In Munich last month, an estimated 40,000 fans gathered on a hillside to listen to the show. However, following the Vienna threat, Wembley Stadium officials have strongly discouraged such unsanctioned gatherings.

Wembley has also requested that only ticket holders and those visiting the official merchandise stores come to the venue. Given the stadium’s location in a residential area, organizers aim to minimize disruption to local businesses and residents. The venue has warned that non-ticket holders will not be allowed to loiter outside entrances or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium and will be asked to leave.
